What we make
Almost every family that comes in is deciding between an upright and a flat marker, and the answer usually comes down to what the cemetery allows rather than what anyone prefers. Bring us the section and lot and we will tell you what is permitted there before you look at a single design. There is no charge for that and no reason to make it complicated.
A polished die on a base, the most common choice where the cemetery permits one. Sizes from a single 24 inch die up to a companion 48 inch. Polished on two, three or all four sides, with rock pitched or sawn edges. Price below covers the stone, the lettering, the foundation and the setting.

Required in most memorial park sections and in parts of several county cemeteries here. Granite or bronze on granite, flush with the ground or on a low bevel. We check the section's rule on size and material before we quote, because the cemetery will refuse a stone that is a half inch over.

Nine colors on the sample board, all of them quarried stone and none of them dyed or coated. Black and grey hold lettering with the most contrast, mahogany and rose weather the most softly. You can take a sample home and stand it in the light where you will actually see it.

Sandblasted lettering in the type styles on the board, plus hand etching for portraits, scenes and church or lodge emblems. We set the layout full size on paper first, so what you approve is what you will read standing in front of it.

Adding a second date to a stone that is already set, resetting one that has leaned or sunk, and cleaning decades of lichen off with the biological cleaner the cemetery associations recommend rather than a pressure washer. Most added dates are done in the cemetery in a morning.

Price ranges
These are ranges and not quotes. What moves a price is the size of the stone, the color of the granite, how many sides are polished, how much lettering there is, and what the cemetery requires for the foundation. We will give you a written number after we know those five things, and we do not ask for the balance until the stone is set. There is no charge for a drawing and no charge if you decide not to order. Prices here are illustrative for this preview.
Recent work
A monument is judged years later, in weather, by people who were not there when it was ordered. What holds up is a level foundation, lettering deep enough to still read after thirty winters, and joints that do not open. Those are the three things worth looking at in these photographs.
The shop
Owner name goes here has run this shop since taking it over from his father, and the work has not changed much: you sit down at the table, you say the name and the dates, and it takes as long as it takes to get the drawing right. Some families are done in twenty minutes and some come back three times. Both are normal and neither costs extra.
The reason this page exists is that almost every family in this county is reached first by whoever the funeral home works with, or by an online seller that ships a stone to the cemetery gate and leaves the setting to somebody else. Neither of those is wrong, but neither of them will show you nine granite colors in daylight, drive out and check the section rules, or come back in eleven years to cut the second date. This page is here so that a family can find the shop in town before they have to decide.

The finished monuments in the yard are there to be walked through, and you are welcome to do that without coming inside or talking to anyone. The showroom has the granite samples, the lettering board and a table. There is one step at the office door and gravel underfoot in the yard.
If those hours do not work, say so when you call and we will meet you at the shop in an evening, which happens most weeks. If it is easier, we will come to the house instead, and we will bring the samples and the lettering board with us. There is never a charge for an appointment, a drawing or a cemetery visit.
